Current Committees
Driffield Town Council have a number of committees which meet regularly to develop specific initiatives or projects.
Each committee is made up of Town Councillors with an elected Chair and Vice Chair. Committees meet at the council offices: 2-4 Market Walk, Driffield.
Other than the Personnel committee meetings, members of the public are welcome and indeed encouraged to attend to any of the committee meetings.
No meetings take place during August when The Council has its recess.
Events and Markets Committee
Meets monthly to discuss the town’s events and the weekly Thursday market.
Usually meet on the first Wednesday of every month (apart from August) at 7 pm.
Environment and Planning Committee
Meets monthly to discuss our environment and submitted planning applications.
Usually meet on the second Tuesday of every month (apart from August) at 6 pm.
Property & Asset Committee
Meets monthly to discuss the council’s property and assets (such as tools, etc), along with the town CCTV and allotments.
Usually meet on the second Wednesday of every month (apart from August) at 6 pm.
