Mayors Charity Walk

The guided walk will take place on Sunday 10th July 2022. Organised by the Mayor of Driffield to raise funds for one of his charities – The Yorkshire Wolds Railway. All funds raised from this event go towards the development of the Yorkshire Wolds Railway, located in the heart of the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds

Meet at Wharram Percy Car Park at 12-noon for a 12.30 pm start.

The guided walk will cover approximately 4-miles through some outstanding scenery. It is mainly easy walking with several road and track stretches so should appeal to all walkers. The walk is on public rights of way and includes some of the old track bed of the Malton and Driffield Junction Railway. During the walk, learn about the history of the Driffield to Malton railway, known as the ‘Malton Dodger’.
