The Peace Celebration Rec Gala, sponsored by Driffield Town Council, Driffield & Wolds Weekly and Reds10 Manufacturing Ltd, took place last Sunday at the Recreation Ground at Kingsmill Road.  Thousands of residents turned up to enjoy a fun filled day in the sun.  The Mayor, Cllr Amanda Croft, led the traditional races to mirror the celebrations held one hundred years previously at the Rec to mark the National Peace Celebrations in 1919.
