Driffield Town Council wins National Lottery support to start the process of transforming a historic canal warehouse into a heritage destination

Driffield Town Council has received a National Lottery grant of £9,800 to establish a community-led heritage body that will, at the end of the project, have the tools and know-how to take forward the re-development of the Grade II-listed Mortimer’s Warehouse, located at River Head in Driffield, East Yorkshire.

Made possible by money raised by National Lottery players, this National Lottery Heritage Fund project is a crucial first step in the proposed transformation of this fine example of late-18th-century canal architecture.
